Where to Spend When Planning Your Wedding

Now that we have gone over the areas to save when planning your wedding, let’s talk about where you should be really using every penny in your budget to make sure your day is perfect.
  1. Your DJ. In some cases, your DJ provides the sound equipment for the ceremony, you want this to be good equipment. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding once in which the microphone worked every 5 to 10 words. To improvise the officiant would talk very loudly while the microphone was out then burst everyone’s eardrum when it suddenly worked again. Either have a tech-free ceremony or get the good stuff.
  1. Your Dress or Tux. This is your wedding day, you should look the best you possibly can. Have your dress or tux tailored to fit you specifically, it makes such difference. In the long run this is a low cost to look spectacular. The last thing you want is an ill-fitted dress that you’re constantly tugging at. Get it tailored a few weeks out make sure it’s great fit for your big day.
  1. Videographer. I know what you’re thinking, of course we are going to say that, we’re a business that offers wedding videography as one of our services. However, this is the number one regret among brides.
  1. Making it your perfect wedding. There is going to be something that matters most to you. It could be having your best friend as a maid of honor but she can’t swing the flight. Splurge and buy her ticket. Maybe you want it completely candle lit, buy a ton of candles. Whatever it is that makes it your perfect day, get it!
